Irina Nikolaevna Zakharova is a major specialist in pediatrics, pediatric nephrology, gastroenterology, nutrition, and allergology. Her name is widely known not only in Russia, but also far beyond its borders.

For many years, Irina Nikolaevna has been the head of the Dissertation Council on Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery (D 208.071.01) and is also a member of the Academic Councils of the FGBOU DPO "RMANPO" of the Ministry of Health of Russia and the FGAU NMIC for Children's Health of the Ministry of Health of Russia.

She is an Honorary Professor of the Scientific Center for Children's Health of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Honorary Professor of the Republican Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Pediatrics of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President of the Association of Physicians for Assistance in Advanced Training of Pediatricians, President of the Association of Physicians for the Study of Vitamin D, and Vice President of the Professional public organization (association) of pediatricians "Initiative of Pediatrics and Neonatology Specialists in the Development of Clinical Practices".

Zakharova I.N. personally advises and controls the treatment of the most severe children for health reasons, gives lectures, conducts clinical analyzes and consultations in clinics and hospitals. For more than twenty years, Irina Nikolaevna has been a full-time consultant in pediatrics at polyclinics of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation and many private medical centers.

For her great contribution to the development of domestic pediatrics, dedication and professionalism, Irina Nikolaevna Zakharova received the title of Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation (2010).

Being the chief freelance pediatrician of the Central Federal District of Russia (from May 2012 to December 2017), Irina Nikolaevna took part in solving the main issues of state health policy.

As an example of the highest responsibility, high professionalism, loyalty to professional, civic, human duty, she was awarded the Diploma of the Ministry of Health of Russia (2012).

For more than ten years Professor I.N. Zakharova regularly takes part in the work of world and European Congresses of gastroenterologists (Montreal, London, Paris, Vienna, Berlin), European pediatric gastroenterologists, nutritionists and hepatologists (Barcelona, Porto, Budapest). She is a member of the European Association of Immunologists and Allergists, a full member of ESPGHAN, a member of the Executive Committee of the Union of Pediatricians of Russia.
