After graduating from the Moscow Medical Institute. THEM. Sechenov, completed residency and postgraduate studies in oncology at the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Oncology of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (now the N.N. Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation). Since 1974 - Assistant, Associate Professor, Professor, and since 1989 - Head of the Department of Oncology, TsOLIUv (after renaming - RMAPE of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation). Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences since 2005. In 2002, prof. I.V. Poddubnaya received the title of Honored Worker of Education of the Russian Federation.
From 1999 to 2002, he was a member of the ESMO Publications Committee and a member of the editorial board of Annalsof Oncology. In 1994 was awarded a grant from the Japanese scientific organization ESCO for the study of extranodal lymphomas. Since 1999, he has been the editor-in-chief of the journal Modern Oncology, a member of the editorial board of the journals Sarcomas, the Russian Journal of Oncology. Since 2012, by decision of ASCO, he has been the editor-in-chief of the Russian version of the Journal of Clinical Oncology. As principal investigator and contributor, Prof. I.V. Poddubnaya takes an active part in international and Russian clinical trials for the treatment of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas.
Since 2003, he has been the organizer and chairman of the annual Russian conference with international participation "Malignant Lymphomas". Over the past five years, Poddubnaya I.V. is the organizer and moderator of Internet conferences and clinical interactive forums with international participation "Lymforum" and "ABEX", whose tasks are to exchange views between doctors and experts in the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoproliferative diseases and tumors of the gastrointestinal tract (2-3 clinical Limforum and ABEX in different regions of Russia and abroad).
I.V. Poddubnaya is a member of a number of leading scientific oncological and hematological societies (ESMO - European Society of Oncology, ASCO - American Society of Clinical Oncology, IELSG - International Group for the Study of Extranodal Lymphomas and others). Since 2010, she has been the Chairman of the Russian Society of Oncohematologists. Member of the specialized council for the defense of doctoral dissertations of the Russian Cancer Research Center. Author of the main domestic guidelines and translated publications on the therapy and diagnosis of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. Poddubnaya I.V. is the author of more than 500 publications in domestic and foreign literature. Under her leadership, 35 candidate and 5 doctoral dissertations were defended.
