Moshetova Larisa Konstantinovna

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, President of the Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Moscow (ORCIDScopus Author IDeLIBRARY SPIN).

She was born on August 19, 1938 in the city of Kalyazin, Kalinin Region.

After graduating in 1963 from the 1st Moscow Medical Institute named after I.I. Sechenova began her career at the Central Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education (currently the Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education of the Russian Ministry of Health, where she worked her way up from a clinical intern in the department of ophthalmology to the rector of the academy and president of the academy.

From 1963 to 1969 she studied in clinical residency, then in graduate school at the Department of Ophthalmology of the Central Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education (TSOLIUV, RMAPO).

OK. Moshetova worked as an assistant, associate professor, at the Department of Ophthalmology TSOLIUV, and since 1988 - the head of the Department of Ophthalmology with courses in pediatric ophthalmology and ophthalmo-oncology.

In 1970 she defended her thesis on the topic "The vascular system of the eye in assessing the diagnosis and prognosis of various forms of arterial hypertension."

In 1993, L.K. Moshetova defended her doctoral dissertation "Mechanical trauma of the eye", was awarded the title of professor in the department of ophthalmology.

In 1994, she was elected rector of the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. RMANPO Rector 1994 - 2019.

Larisa Konstantinovna Moshetova made a major contribution to the development of Russian ophthalmology. Her works are devoted to such topical and socially significant problems as eye trauma, pediatric ophthalmology, vascular pathology of the eye, features of hydrodynamics and microcirculation of the eye in patients with various types of diabetes mellitus, including those in childhood.

In the course of many years of clinical observations, morphological and fundamental biochemical studies, separate links in the pathogenesis of mechanical eye injury and pathomorphosis of the wound process in the eye have been established.

A complex of therapeutic and organizational measures in the provision of emergency ophthalmic care has been scientifically substantiated and introduced into clinical practice.

A new scientific direction in ophthalmology, forensic medical examination, has been formulated, modern criteria for assessing the severity of harm to health and the timing of its implementation for persons with eye trauma have been determined.

In recent years, a special place in the scientific research of Professor Moshetova L.K. are concerned with the organization of the ophthalmological service in the regions of our country.

OK. Moshetova is a prominent specialist and prominent scientist in the field of ophthalmology. Scientific research conducted by her on topical and socially significant problems (eye trauma, pediatric ophthalmology, organization of ophthalmological care) are of a fundamental nature, have made a great contribution to the development of domestic ophthalmotraumatology, and have been implemented in practical healthcare and educational programs of the system of postgraduate education of doctors. She also pays great attention to the issues of modernization and improvement of the work of the ophthalmological service in the regions of the Russian Federation.

OK. Moshetova scientifically substantiated and introduced into clinical practice a set of therapeutic and organizational measures in the provision of emergency ophthalmic care, including in case of mass lesions and in extreme situations. A new scientific direction in ophthalmology has been formulated - forensic medical examination, modern criteria for assessing the severity of harm to health and the timing of forensic medical examination of persons with eye trauma have been determined.

OK. Moshetova is the author and co-author of more than 382 scientific papers and publications, 4 monographs, 5 books, 2 textbooks, 6 teaching aids, 10 patents for inventions and 1 copyright certificate. She prepared 11 doctors and 71 candidates of medical sciences.

Since 1992, being the Chief Freelance Ophthalmologist of the Moscow Department of Health, L.K. Moshetov, at a high methodological and practical level, provides the organization of ophthalmic care for patients in medical institutions of the city. During this time, under her leadership and with direct participation, the Moscow City Glaucoma Center was organized on the basis of the City Clinical Hospital No. 15, the Interregional Public Organization "Association of Ophthalmologists" was established, the City Center for Eye Neoplasms was organized on the basis of the Ophthalmological Clinical Hospital, and monitoring is carried out on a regular basis. Ophthalmological Service of Moscow, in the leading ophthalmological hospitals of the city, all types of high-tech medical care in the field of "ophthalmology" are successfully performed. Currently, L.K. Moshetova is vice-president of the All-Russian public organization "Association of Ophthalmologists" and heads its Moscow branch. Since 2001, he has been the scientific director of the All-Russian School of Ophthalmology, which is held annually.

OK. Moshetov is member of the editorial boards and editorial boards of the journals "Bulletin of Ophthalmology", "Ophthalmosurgery", "BC. Clinical Ophthalmology, Russian Pediatric Ophthalmology, National Journal of Glaucoma, Ophthalmology, Ophthalmological Vedomosti, Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Russian Ophthalmological Journal.

For great merits in the field of health care and the development of medical science, fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity and training of medical personnel, Larisa Konstantinovna was awarded the Order of Honor, Friendship, the badge "Excellent Health Worker", she was awarded the Honorary title "Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation", the Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation was announced, she is a laureate of prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation, awarded with diplomas of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Health of Russia.
